It was days before Valentine’s day when a friend of mine, Chiche texted me and asked me if I could help her make a card for her boyfriend. And boy, I was so happy when I read that. For a reason that I get to have craft buddy even just for a day.
So it was a Sunday when she came to my studio. I placed all my tools and papers and we had an afternoon filled with creativity and lots of catching up stories.
Like most in workshops, I told her to make the card playful and personal. She did very well. I feel like a teacher being proud with her student, hehe.
Anyway, the reason why I’m sharing this is because… it was her surprise valentine gift for her boyfriend and it was truly sweet of her to try out something new for the sake of l-o-v-e.
Now the sweetness didn’t end there… few days ago, I got a text from her boyfriend, Pat, asking me if I could help him make a birthday card for Chiche. How cute and sweet are this couple?
That was the card I made for Chiche. I’ll post a DIY on how I did that. So if you wanted to surprise your loved ones with something handmade, you can easily learn how to do it.
I remember I had once a young guy customer in the store asking for a gift for her girlfriend. She bought a jar as the packaging yet he didn’t know what to do with it. I told him he can make a messages in a jar. He liked the idea so we ended up having a little craft session in the studio by decorating his jar, hahaha.
These are truly the fulfilment I get with crafting. If you wanted to do the same thing, just pay me a visit in the studio. I am located in V. Mapa, Mabini Street, Davao City, just beside Yellow Hauz. I would love to help you out with that matter.
P.S. I’m having a 2-day workshop for kids, you can check the details here.
