How about we start this year with a new skill? Yes?

If so, come and join me as I plan to bring in some people from Manila here in Davao to encourage Davaoeños to explore their creativity more. I know, Davaoeños have so much creativity in them and that we are hungry for workshops like this.  That is why I thought it would be nice to bring in those Manila activities here.

For the month of January, we have Anina Rubio. If you’re into calligraphy and brush lettering, I’m pretty sure, you know this pretty and quirky lady and see a lot of her works on instagram. We already had her last year and now she’s back again. So if you weren’t able to attend last year, here’s your chance.

On the first day, we learn different techniques of brush lettering then we add floral type watercolor on the next day. That’s two days of purely indulging into lettering. Here are some of Anina’s beautiful artworks.

Brush Lettering – Jan 30 {Saturday}Learn the basic strokes, techniques and letter forms using a brush.

Floral Type Watercolor – Jan 31 {Sunday}

If you are already into brush lettering, you might want to learn how to add florals with it. Although, if you haven’t tried brush lettering yet, you can still learn the basics here.

January 31 {Sun} – Floral Type Workshop {P2,500}

1-5 p.m. • Coffee at Yellow Hauz.
